The Lakewood Historical Society reprint of the 1986 book "Lakewood-in-the-Pines: A History of Lakewood, NJ" by Paul Axel-Lute. This 189 page scholarly work is a comprehensive chronicle of Lakewood from the formation of its sandy soil, through its various stages of growth as a lumber town, ironworks town, resort, up to 1985. "Lakewood Logs" are now on DVD!

 

The "Lakewood Log", which for decades chronicled the "who, what, when, where, why and how of Lakewood" during the winter resort season, has been reformatted for the modern age. One-hundred fifteen issues of the "Lakewood Log" published between December 12, 1941 and February 27, 1970 are now on one DVD and available for purchase!

 

The DVD also contains 34 issues of "The Sure Thing", published during the summer months and covering events in the shore resort communities from November 1971 to September 1975. This DVE is viewable through computer play only. $15.00 {includes shipping & handling}!
